Enjoy restaurant-style fries at home with these crispy DYP® Fries made with Melissa’s Dutch Yellow® Potatoes. Double-fried for the perfect balance of a golden, crunchy exterior and a tender, flavorful center, these homemade potato fries are seasoned simply for a classic taste everyone will love. Serve them as a snack, appetizer, or side dish alongside burgers, sandwiches, and your favorite dipping sauces for a delicious homemade treat.
1 ½ pounds Melissa’s Dutch Yellow® Potatoes
Oil for Frying
Seasoned Salt
Cut the potatoes into sticks and soak them in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
Drain the potatoes and dry completely.
Fry the potatoes in 325ºF oil for 3-5 minutes, until just cooked through. Remove the fries and place them on a paper towel-lined sheet tray to rest for 15 minutes.
Increase the oil temperature to 375ºF and re-fry the fries for 2-4 minutes, or until crispy and golden brown. Transfer the fries to a paper towel-lined sheet tray and immediately season with the seasoned salt.
You may need to fry these in batches.
