A refreshing and festive spritz made with pomegranate arils, Cara Cara orange, and a cinnamon-infused simple syrup—topped with sparkling water for a lightly spiced, citrusy sip.
Ingredients
-
½ cup Granulated Sugar
-
½ cup Water
-
1 Melissa’s Canela (Cinnamon Stick)
-
1 Melissa’s Cara Cara Orange
-
2 containers Melissa’s Pomegranate Arils + More for Garnish
-
2 cups Sparkling Water
Directions
In a sauce pot, add the sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Lower the heat to low flame and add the canela and a strip of the peel of the orange to the pot. Let it steep for 30 minutes, remove from the heat and let cool. Strain the syrup into another container.
Juice the pomegranate arils by processing them in a blender and then strain it into a pitcher. Add the sparkling water and 4 teaspoons of the syrup. Stir to combine. Serve in 4 martini glasses. Garnish with cara cara orange slices and sprigs of mint.
