De Arbol Chile Salsa – 2 Ways

Ingredients

1 (2 oz.) package Melissa’s Dried de Arbol Chiles, stems and seeds removed
1½ cups Water
2 teaspoons Salt

Directions

Place the chiles in a dry, hot sauté pan and cook until browned. Be sure to keep them moving so that they don’t char. Once browned, place the chiles in a blender. Add the water and salt and blend until smooth.

Makes 1 cup salsa.

de Arbol-Lime Salsa

Ingredients

1 (2 oz.) package Melissa’s Dried de Arbol Chiles, stems and seeds removed
8 Limes or 1½ cups Lime Juice
2 teaspoons Salt

Directions

Place the chiles in a dry, hot sauté pan and cook until browned. Be sure to keep them moving so that they don’t char. Once browned, place the chiles in a blender. Add the juice and salt and blend until smooth.

Makes 1 cup salsa.
