Using a serrated knife, cut top and bottom off of pineapple.
Slice sides of pineapple off following the curve of the fruit and removing any eyes that are left.
Cut down through the middle of the pineapple through the heart.
Except for South African Bany Pineapples, cut core by slicing between soft fruit and hard core at an angle.
Cut both sides and remove the core. Discard. If cutting a South African Baby Pineapple, leave edible core in tact.
Slice into desired chunks.
