Place Melissa’s shredded coconut evenly in a dry skillet.

Cook over medium heat and cook, stirring or shaking the pan frequently to prevent burning.

Take coconut from pan when the coconut begins to release its flavor and aroma, 5 to 10 minutes.

Toasting or roasting coconut crisps and brings out the flavor. The trick is to watch the process carefully because it will burn easily.
