Super-sized, super sweet, seedless and oh so juicy! This mandarin and orange hybrid is gargantuan compared to most mandarins, with extra thin membranes separating each segment. The eating experience is exceptional—and they couldn’t be easier to peel. Dekopons are easily identified by a knob at the top of the fruit. To get to the flesh, simply break off the knob and the rest of the peel will come off easily.
This variety originated in Asia. In Japan and Korea, Dekopons are considered some of the finest citrus available. Enjoy the fruit as is, juice for breakfast, create a marinade for fish, or incorporate into a fresh fruit tart.
Store at room temperatures for up to one week or refrigerate for up to two weeks.
