Processing instructions for Aloe Vera

1. Rinse under cool water.

2. Lay leaf flat on the cutting board and trim off the tip and base with a sharp knife.

3. Next, trim off the spines on both sides of the leaf. This will expose the gel.

4. Cut the leaf into manageable pieces.

5. Peel the skin. Lay the leaf flat on a cutting board and use a sharp knife to carefully “filet" the skin from one side.

6. Scoop out the gel with a spoon.

7. Rinse gel to get rid of any yellow latex.
