An easy and simple slaw that can be prepared crisp or well sauced with fresh-made buttermilk mayo dressing. Top a good burger or chicken patty with this for an all-in-one meal!
Ingredients

3 cups organic cabbage (use red cabbage) shredded

3 cups organic cabbage (use green cabbage) shredded

3 cups Napa Cabbage, shredded

3 organic green onions, chopped
-
1 cup Organic Cut Sweet Baby Carrots, shredded

Salt and pepper

1/3 cup granulated sugar
-
½ teaspoon kosher salt
-
1/8 teaspoon Melissa’s "My Grinder" Organic Rainbow Peppercorns

¼ cup whole milk
-
½ cup real mayonnaise
-
1/4 cup buttermilk
-
1 ½ tablespoons rice wine vinegar
-
1 tablespoon white vinegar
-
2 ½ tablespoons lemon juice
For the dressing
Directions
Combine the three cabbages and the next 3 ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
For the Dressing:
In a bowl, combine all of the dressing ingredients until smooth. Add to the slaw ingredients and mix well. Serve immediately for crisper salad or refrigerate 1 - 2 hours until ready to eat.
Recipe Note
Chef's tip:
- If making ahead or for travel to a gathering, cold pack the cabbage mix separate from the dressing, then toss upon arrival for a crisp coleslaw.
