An easy and simple slaw that can be prepared crisp or well sauced with fresh-made buttermilk mayo dressing. Top a good burger or chicken patty with this for an all-in-one meal!
3 cups Organic Cabbage (use Red Cabbage) shredded
3 cups Organic Cabbage (use Green Cabbage) shredded
3 cups Napa Cabbage shredded
3 Organic Green Onions chopped
1 cups Organic Sweet Baby Carrots shredded
Salt and Pepper
1/3 cup Granulated Sugar
½ teaspoon Kosher Salt
1/8 teaspoon Melissa’s "My Grinder" Organic Rainbow Peppercorns
¼ cup Whole Milk
½ cup Real Mayonnaise
1/4 cup Buttermilk
1 ½ tablespoons Rice Wine Vinegar
1 tablespoon White Vinegar
2 ½ tablespoons Lemon Juice
For the dressing:
Combine the three cabbages and the next 3 ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
For the Dressing:
In a bowl, combine all of the dressing ingredients until smooth. Add to the slaw ingredients and mix well. Serve immediately for crisper salad or refrigerate 1 - 2 hours until ready to eat.
If making ahead or for travel to a gathering, cold pack the cabbage mix separate from the dressing, then toss upon arrival for a crisp coleslaw.
