This recipe really is a snap to make! Rehydrated Chipotle Peppers add that bit of smokiness to a ready-made tomatillo salsa.
4 Dried Chipotle Peppers (see Chef's tips below)
1 clove Garlic
16 ounces Ready made Tomatillo Sauce (Salsa Verde) of choice
Remove stems from Chipotle peppers and rehydrate in hot water for 15 minutes, or until soft.
Drain the peppers, and blend in a blender with the tomatillo sauce and garlic clove. Serve and enjoy.
Chef's tips:
Go beyond simple salsa for chips. Use this for braising pork, chicken, firm fish, or kick up a ceviche or shrimp cocktail.
