2 tamarillos, halved with the skin on
Pure vanilla extract as needed
4 scoops vanilla frozen yogurt (1 oz. each)
Cocoa powder as needed
Dessert sauces (chocolate flavor) to taste
Prepare a hot grill.
Brush the flesh side of the tamarillos with the vanilla extract and place them skin-side down on the grill. Cook them until you get grill marks and then flip them over to grill the other side. Once heated through, remove them from the grill, scoop out the flesh and discard the skin.
To plate, drizzle the chocolate sauce on a dessert dish. Place one half tamarillo on the plate, top with a scoop of frozen yogurt and dust with the cocoa powder.
If you want to sweeten it up a little more, add a dollop of whipped cream to the top.
