A new variety from Brazil exclusively available from Melissa’s! This super sweet, low acid pineapple has a rich flavor and an edible core. The appearance is usually thinner and heavier in weight for its size than a normal golden pineapple, with dark green skin and very pale yellow to creamy white flesh.
Choose fruit with no punctures or leaking eyes. Dark green skin is no indication of ripeness; this fruit is ready to eat, no ripening necessary. Store in refrigerator.
Display next to golden pineapples, South African baby pineapples, coconuts, mango, papaya, cherimoya, red bananas and plantains.
