Product of California.

A true heritage crop of the United States that was grown by First Nation tribes long before European explorers arrived in this country, corn has become an iconic symbol of the summertime barbeque season. Fresh corn on the cob can be grilled, steamed or boiled. Removed from its cob, fresh corn will add that little extra flavor and crunch to salsas and chutneys, and it makes excellent chowder. Corn is a must ingredient in most traditional chili recipes.

Melissa’s organic corn is grown with no chemical pesticides or fungicides and is third-party certified as being organically grown in accordance with the guidelines mandated by the USDA's Organic Foods Production Act of 2002.

Avoid stalks that have no kernel development at the tip end of the cob. Fresh corn must be refrigerated and will lose sweetness, turning starchy, if stored for more than 4 days.
