Grown in the fertile Central Valley of California, Melissa’s Neapolitan® Tangerines are plump, juicy, and bursting with fantastic flavor. The Neapolitan® is a non-GMO seedless cross between a Minneola tangelo and a Clementine. They are slightly smaller than most tangerines but have a big taste and a very high natural sugar content. Their small size, plump shape, and vibrant orange skin make them irresistibly snackable. Expect a perfect balance of sweetness and refreshing citrus zing in every bite.
The name “Neapolitan” comes from the tangerine's dynamic blend of flavors, reminiscent of how Neapolitan ice cream layers different tastes in one treat. These tangerines merge the sweetness of a clementine with the bold, tangy brightness of a Minneola.
