Mochi is a traditional Japanese confection made from short-grained glutinous rice that's steamed then pounded into a smooth, elastic dough, and shaped into small cakes. It is prized for a signature chewy texture, and is enjoyed in its native Japan year-round, but especially at New Year celebrations.

These soft confections are fully cooked and ready to eat right out of the package. Enjoy them out of hand, or add them to your favorite dessert platter, or over ice cream. Mochi can be enjoyed at room temperature; refrigerating or freezing changes the texture of the rice dough.

Creamy Matcha Latte – Grassy and milky, like a matcha latte in a single bite. Lacto-vegetarian, gluten-free, no artificial colors or flavors.

Storage: Keep Melissa's Royal Mochi at cool room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat, and enjoy by the best-by date on the package. The individual wrappers keep each piece fresh. For longer storage, Melissa's Royal Mochi can be refrigerated or frozen in an airtight container, then brought back to room temperature for about 30 minutes before eating to restore the soft, chewy texture.
