About Hanzell Vineyards
Hanzell Vineyards is situated at the southern end of the Mayacamas Mountains in the Sonoma Valley AVA, overlooking the picturesque Sonoma Valley and San Pablo Bay. Since its founding in 1953, Hanzell has been one of California's most celebrated and historically significant wineries, widely regarded as a forebear of the state's Burgundy-inspired winemaking tradition. They produce elegant, terroir-driven Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs crafted with minimal intervention, a commitment to small-lot winemaking, and a deep reverence for the land and place where their grapes are grown. Since 2021, Hanzell has been certified organic by California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF), the first organic certification entity in the United States. Hanzell's wines are vegan-friendly.
