Warehouse Inventory Associate
Melissa’s, a California-based produce wholesaler, seeks a passionate warehouse associate to assist us in our daily inventory warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is a personable, energetic self-starter and genuinely cares about the produce industry and increasing the consumption of fresh produce.

Position Responsibilities
• Coordinate and expedite flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments, according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities
• Review production schedules/related information and confer with department supervisor to determine material requirements/identify overdue materials and track
• Requisitions material and establishes sequential delivery dates to departments, according to job order priorities and material availability
• Arranges in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules
• Computes amount of material required to complete job orders, apply knowledge of product/manufacturing processes
• Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records, such as material inventory, in-process production reports, and status and location of materials
• May move or transport materials from one department to another, manually or using material handling equipment
• Ensure appropriate amounts of stock maintained; meet customer demand without delay
• Perform different receiving duties; checking, inspecting, helping to unload, verifying, and transporting all incoming materials
Requirements
• No visual restrictions
• Able to read/write (Is a must)
• Bilingual (Is a Plus)
• Basic math (Is a must)
• Lift 50 pounds or more (lift-push-carry-repeatedly the entire work shift)
• Walking and standing for the entire work shift
• Maintain daily personal health and hygiene conditions
• Safely navigate warehouse with present forklifts and pedestrian traffic
• Able to work in the ice/cooler room for long periods of time
• Work as a team at all times
• Maintain work area clean at all times
• Follow directions from supervisor
• Attendance/punctuality
• Self-starter (Is a Plus)
Work Environment
• Frequently exposed to warehouse noise (packing machinery, forklifts and cleaning machinery)
• Extended periods of exposure to ambient and/or refrigerated temperature (Up to low 36 degrees)
