Kyoho grapes are very large, dark maroon to black and thick-skinned grapes that offer a sweet flavor.
This specialty grape, first developed in Japan, is a large, seeded, sweet-tart, meaty grape. It most resembles the Concord with its thick, deep purple-black, powdery skin. This grape is actually large enough to peel, which is the dessert of choice in Japan, a bowl of peeled Kyoho grapes! 

Choose grape bunches that are firm, high color with no shrivel or leaking fruits. Grapes should be refrigerated at all times and tend to ripen quickly at room temperature.
