Melissa's Sun Dried Tomatoes have been preserved in the finest oil and herbs from the old country that gives them an intense flavor, chewy texture as well as long shelf life.
Harvested each year in the summer months, these tomatoes are pre-washed and the stems are removed. The tomatoes are then dried by wood heat for 24 hours. It takes approximately 7 pounds of fresh to make 1 pound of dried tomatoes.
Use for home-made pasta sauce, soups, stews & meat, chicken and pasta casseroles. Excellent for appetizers and ready to serve directly from jar.
Store in cool dry place.
