Starburst Pummelos are the largest citrus on earth, and the sweetness inside is every bit as big as the fruit. 

Beneath the thick, pale green-yellow rind of Starburst Pummelos, the blushing pink-to-ruby flesh is juicy, tender, and refreshingly low in bitterness. With 40% less acid than grapefruit, Starburst Pummelos are super sweet, with a mild, tropical flavor that makes each piece of fruit feel like a centerpiece.

Starburst Pummelos are grown in the sunny groves of Florida and arrive in the fall, but occasional wind and rain in the growing region can leave their mark on the rind of the fruit. Because those blemishes are cosmetic, rind appearance is not a reliable sign of quality. Instead, choose Starburst Pummelos by weight and aroma: the fruit should feel heavy for its size, with a fragrant rind that smells of fresh citrus.

Enjoy Starburst Pummelos peeled and segmented as a refreshing snack, or tossed into green salads, folded into fruit salads, or added to grazing boards. Starburst Pummelos also bring a zesty twist to desserts, salsas, and ceviche, and they pair well with seafood, poultry, and avocado.

Storage: Starburst Pummelos at room temperature, out of direct sunlight, for up to one week. For longer storage, refrigerate and enjoy within 2 to 3 weeks for optimum quality.
