A fun, easy recipe for kids to help make and eat!
2 cups Corn Chex Cereal
2 cups Rice Chex Cereal
2 cups Wheat Chex Cereal
1 1/2 cups hazelnuts, toasted
1 cup Thompson Seedless Raisins
1 cup dried banana chips (see notes below)
1 small vanilla pudding (non-instant) mix
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
In a large bowl, combine the first six ingredients.
In a saucepan, stir together the pudding mix and the honey, over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Bring the mixture up to a boil and continue to boil for an additional 30 seconds.
Remove it from the heat and stir in the peanut butter.
Pour the sauce into the cereal mixture and quickly mix with your hands to combine.
Spread the trail mix onto a flat surface to cool.
For a little treat, I like to add mini marshmallows or toasted coconut flakes into the cereal mix.
