With no soaking required, Melissa’s Vegetarian Blackeyed Peas are quick, easy and so convenient. These pre-soaked peas are available in easy-to-display, see-through, shatterproof tubs (11 oz.) and carry a 21-day shelf life (versus the 7-10 day shelf life often associated with bagged peas.)

Use any time of the year in soups, salads, and stews, as a delicious side dish. They can also be pureed and served as a dip.With a shelf life of 21 days, Melissa’s Vegetarian Blackeyed Peas are packaged for excellent quality and must be refrigerated.
To prepare: In an uncovered 3-quart saucepan, bring 2½ cups of unsalted water to a boil. Add 11-oz. tub of Melissa’s Vegetarian Blackeyed Peas. Return to a boil. Reduce heat and bring to a gentle-rolling boil for 8-10 minutes or until tender. Drain and discard water. Serve.
