Also called pinons, pignoli and pignolia, Melissa's Pine Nuts are harvested from pine cones grown in Italy.
The kernels can be eaten raw, tossed in salads or roasted and salted like peanuts.
Pine Nuts are also used to make soups and sauces (like pesto). Melissa's Pine Nuts are out of the "shell".
Each creamy-colored nut averages about 1/2 inch in length. The delicate pine flavor of Melissa's Pine Nuts may be used in a variety of sweet and savory dishes. Look for recipes on our colorful and informative packages or here on our website.
Melissa's Pine Nuts are hand sorted and selected to ensure excellent quality.
Similar to other nuts, Pine Nuts can become stale quickly because of their high fat content and should be refrigerated in an airtight container. Store this way for up to 3 months or up to 9 months if stored frozen.
