Uses:

One of the most common chiles grown in Mexico, the Guajillo is a shiny, deep orange-red chile. Its elongated shape tapers to a point and is sometimes slightly curved. Measuring about 4-6 inches long, the Guajillo has berry tones with a sweet heat and is commonly used in salsas, chile sauces, soups and stews. Melissa’s dried chiles, sold under the Don Enrique label (Melissa’s own line of Latin items), have a more distinctive taste than the same versions sold fresh since the process of drying chiles also brings out their flavor.

Selection, Storage & Handling:

Melissa’s Dried Chiles are hand-selected for excellent quality. Choose whole, unbroken chiles with deep color and a fresh scent. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry, dark place for up to six months or more.

Create a display using a variety of dried chiles from Melissa’s including Habanero, De Arbol, Japones and Ancho.
