Mexico’s coastal state of Oaxaca is renowned for producing some of the most flavorful peppers available in the marketplace. These peppers have been smoked-dried in a traditional slow cook process that produces a sharp, lingering heat with an intense spicy flavor. The peppers has a shiny mahogany red color that makes it the perfect mole sauce ingredient. Use also as a flavoring in soups, stews and shredded beef dishes.

Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
