There are additional aromas of butterscotch and vanilla, yet the wine–which is barrel fermented then aged in oak for 18 months with an additional year in the \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ebottle before release–avoids being too oaky or buttery. The palate offers flavors of stewed peaches, pineapple, caramel, and toasted hazelnuts. Ripe with a bracing acidity.
