Melissa's Gobo Root is used both as a vegetable and as a seasoning. It adds a chewy texture and an earthy-sweet flavor when cooked with grains or used in stews and soups. Shreds of the peeled root can also be added to stir-fry recipes and marinades. Slightly peel Gobo Root and soak in cold water with a small amount of vinegar or lemon for an hour.
Melissa's Gobo Root is hand picked for excellent quality. For long-term storage, refrigerate Gobo root in water in a shallow dish or keep it wrapped in damp paper towels and perforated plastic for up to 3-4 days.
Melissa's Gobo Root may be sliced, chopped or crushed for stronger flavor.
