Delicious Apple Kugel

Apple Kugel

Ingredients
16 ounces Wide Egg Noodles
4 tablespoons Butter
1 cup Unsweetened Apple Sauce
4 large Eggs
2 large Egg Whites
3/4 cup Sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
1/2 cup Thompson Seedless Raisins (optional)
4 Apples

Directions
Pre-heat oven to 350.

Grease a 9 inch x 13 inch baking dish. Set aside.

Cook noodles until just tender (do not cook completely).

While noodles are cooking, peel and thinly slice the apples.

When pasta is done, drain. In a large sauce pan, melt the butter.

Add the cooked noodles and the unsweetened applesauce. Mix.

In a separate bowl, mix eggs and egg whites with the sugar, vanilla and cinnamon. Add mixture to noodles.

Add raisins and apples. Mix well. Pour mixture into baking pan.

Cover with foil. Bake for 45 minutes.

Remove foil, bake additional 10 minutes or so to brown top layer of noodles. Let cool. Serve warm.
