Ingredients
- 1 pound turnips
- 1 tablespoon Unsalted Butter
- 2 teaspoons Sugar
- Water as needed
Directions
Wash and peel the turnips. Slice into 1/4 inch slices, approximately 2 1/2 cups. In a large pot add the turnips with enough water to cover. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer 8 - 10 minutes. Drain. Dot with butter and sprinkle with sugar.
Note:
You can omit the butter.
