Baby Pineapple and Tofu Skewers with Cipolline Onions

Ingredients

  • South African Baby Pineapples peeled and cubed into 24 pieces
  • 2 packages Organic Hawaiian Style (Fried) Tofu cut into 16 cubes
  • 16 Cipolline Onions peeled
  • 2 tablespoons teriyaki flavored marinade
  • 8 long Bamboo Skewers soaked in water

Directions

Prepare grill.

Thread 1 piece of pineapple, 1 piece of tofu, 1 piece of pineapple, 1 onion, 1 piece of tofu, 1 piece of pineapple and 1 onion on a skewer in this order. Continue with the remaining skewers. Brush with the teriyaki marinade and grill until heated through and golden brown. Serve hot.

Note:

Grilling the pineapple brings out its natural sweetness and gives it a smoky flavor.
