Chocolate-Caramel Apples

Using a skewer, create a pilot hole on the stem end to insert the sticks in the apples. Insert 1 stick in each apple. Melt the caramel in a double boiler. Dip each apple in the caramel and place on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Place in the refrigerator to set. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler, dip each apple in the chocolate and roll in the nuts. Place on the cookie sheet to set.

Notes:

Dried coconut is also good with these apples.
