Ingredients

  • 8 ounces Granulated Sugar
  • 8 ounces Water
  • Charentais Melons* peeled and cubed
  • *(Can also be substituted with our Organic Orange Flesh Honeydew Melon, Organic Cantaloupe, and Tuscan Cantaloupe Melon)
  • Directions

First you need to make the simple syrup. In a sauce pot, pour in the water and add the sugar. Give it a quick stir. Over high heat, cook the sugar water until just boiling. Remove from the heat and let stand until completely cooled.

In a blender, puree the melon and add 8 ounces of the simple syrup. Blend until smooth. You can adjust the sweetness by using more or less of the simple syrup.  Place in ice cream machine and chill following machine instructions.  Cure well in your freezer, about 2 hours, before serving.

    Note:

Fresh raspberries and a mint leaf make for a nice garnish.

I used your organic canteloupe for this recipe. The kids loved it, especially since it has been so hot lately. Thanks!

This is a great refreshing and delicious recipe for a hot summer day, especially with a drizzles of chocolate sauce.
