Ingredients
- 1 pound Tamarillo ripe
- 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
- 1/3 cup Maui Onions
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- 2 tablespoon White Wine Vinegar
- 1/3 cup Olive Oil
- Salt to taste
Directions
Dice the Tamarillos and place in a non-metallic bowl. Add the onions. Prepare dressing by mixing in a jar the vinegar, salt, pepper and sugar until dissolved. Add the olive oil and shake well. Add dressing to Tamarillos and mix well.
Peeling Tamarillo
Fill a big cooking pot with water and bring to a boil. Drop the Tamarillos in the boiling water and boil for 30 seconds. Remove from boiling water and drop in ice water for about a minute to stop cooking. The skin should now peel easily.
