Ingredients
- 2 ounces Dried Mango Slices
- 20 leaves Mint
- 1 Jalapeno or Serrano Chile chopped
- 1 clove Organic Garlic sliced
- 1/4 teaspoon Ginger Root grated
- 1 teaspoon Coriander seeds
- Sea Salt to your taste
Directions
This chutney will be a novelty for western cooks, although in India "amchoor" chutney is well known and quite popular. Dried mango slices (amchoor) are available at all Indian grocers. Serve as a side dish.
Soak the mango slices in water to cover overnight, or soak in warm, water about 2 hours
Place the mango slices, the water they were soaking in, and the rest of the ingredients into an electric grinder. Puree until the ingredients can pass through a strainer.
Chill and serve with a meal or savoury snacks.
