Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Ginger Root chopped
- 6 cups Mini Watermelon cubed (or Organic Red Seedless, Red Watermelon, Organic Mini Red Seedless)
- 1 cup Organic Lime juice freshly squeezed
- 32 ounces Ginger Ale
- Ice Cubes as needed
Directions
Place water and sugar in a sauce pot and bring to low simmer to dissolve sugar. Set aside. In batches, puree watermelon and fresh ginger and strain through a fine sieve into a large pitcher. When cooled, add sugar water. Stir in lime juice and ginger ale. Pour over fresh ice and serve.
Note:
This is a good drink if your stomach is feeling uneasy because the ginger will settle it down.

- OMG...great combination. I was skeptical that watermelon and ginger would taste as good as they did together, in the same drink, but this was really refreshing and delicious. I thought it was a little sweet (maybe because my watermelon was really sweet?) so I might try 50/50 ginger ale and sparkling water next time.
