Peel, seed, core and thinly slice apples and pears. Peel, pit and quarter plums. Wash grapes well and drain. Peel and cube cantaloupe.

In a large bowl, combine all fruits with the sugar, wine and lemon juice. Stir gently to mix and refrigerate 2 to 3 hours.

Serve in custard cups or parfait glasses with a lady finger.
