Celebrated cookbook author and television personality Nathalie Dupree is the unofficial ambassador of Southern cuisine and hospitality. Even though her heart is in the South, Dupree has traveled throughout the world, training with chefs in France and Italy, as well as earning an advanced certificate from the prestigious Cordon Bleu cooking school in London.
Nathalie Dupree continues to travel the world in pursuit of culinary knowledge. She has graciously shared this knowledge with millions, starting with the 10,000+ students who attended her Rich's Cooking School, which she founded and directed for nearly a decade. Soon after, Dupree launched what has become one of the most enduring cooking show careers, with her first series New Southern Cooking in 1986. She has since hosted more than 300 television cooking shows, airing on PBS, the TV Food Network, and The Learning Channel. In addition to her own shows, she has appeared as guest culinary expert on Good Morning America, CBS This Morning, The Today Show, and various segments on CNN.
Her first series led to her first companion cookbook, New Southern Cooking in 1990. Other books soon followed, including:

Two of Nathalie Dupree's cookbooks won the James Beard Cookbook Award, equivalent to the academy award in the culinary world. Her eloquent writing style has also appeared in an array of magazine articles featured in publications such as Redbook, Bon Appetit, Family Circle, Ladies Home Journal, GQ, and Home Magazine. In addition, she has written columns for Atlanta Magazine, the Atlanta Journal Constitution, and the Los Angeles Times Syndicate. Her daily home cooking tips have run on more than 1,000 radio stations from coast to coast.
