Deborah Fabricant
Cookbook Author, Entrepreneur, TV Personality
Make your next meal a work of art, thanks to Guest Chef Deborah Fabricant's "Stacks...The Art of Vertical Food".
Early Years
Deborah Fabricant once owned a restaurant called Panache, the perfect name for someone with so much flair and talent for creative cuisine and entertaining. During the 1980's, she also owned and operated Mama's Cookin' Company, where thousands of grateful Californians living in the fast lane learned how to prepare fast and easy gourmet meals. With her experience as a restaurateur, teacher, celebrity chef, and food stylist, Deborah Fabricant created "The Art of Entertaining", to help bring elegance to her clients' hectic lives. In her ongoing quest to turn the simple into the sensational, and with the extra motivation of friendly competition among friends, Fabricant decided to stack a salad using a makeshift cylinder, and "Stacks...The Art of Vertical Food" was created. Next came Stacks Cookware, a line of cooking products to help anyone turn the ordinary into the extraordinary.
Current Projects
Using Fabricant's technique of stacking, even leftovers are born again as culinary masterpieces, and the cooking novice can create impressive dishes to dazzle family and guests. While professional chefs build up food architecturally in restaurants, Deborah Fabricant has introduced the home chef to a simpler, practical technique for achieving similar results. Like so many details in successful entertaining, presentation is key, and Fabricant is unlocking the door to easy methods that make the results look anything but easy.
Deborah Fabricant's philosophy is "why cook a meal when you can create a sensation"? If your goal is delicious food with a very impressive presentation, Deborah Fabricant's expertise, enthusiasm, and practical, step-by-step instructions will convince your guests that you spent hours instead of minutes on your culinary creations. Stacking is an art and Deborah Fabricant will help you become an artist in your own kitchen.
