About 3 years ago, Chef Akasha was approached by Morinaga Publications (a division of the company that manufacturers Mori-Nu Tofu) to create and publish The Art of Tofu: Celebrated Vegetarian Recipes From Around the World. Akasha's background in healthy vegetarian cooking, her many global travel & taste experiences, and her enthusiasm for the versatility of tofu combined to create 50 gourmet recipes from throughout America and around the world. In the book you'll find Fusion Pasta from Asia, Tofu Cakes from Louisiana, Noodle Pudding from Russia, and Key Lime Pie from Florida. The book also includes a guide to exotic ingredients, soy products, baking and natural ingredients, and each recipe has nutritional information and preparation time.
To continue to spread her message about the benefits of healthy eating and how to include great tasting, healthy foods into our daily diet, and with a vision towards making enlightened vegetarian cuisine available to more people, Akasha started her newest venture, a company called Culinary Revolution. The company's first products, Chef Akasha's Entrees are ready for distribution to food stores throughout the country. These "comfort food" casseroles, including Pasta Au Gratin, Florentine, Corn & Bean, and Tortilla, are all natural, low fat, and lactose free.
