Wrapping

Practice Makes Perfect

making wraps 1The first step to wrapping is to warm the tortilla slightly so that it becomes more pliable and prevents it from tearing.  You can warm the tortilla in several manners.  In a microwave, heat for 10 to 15 seconds.  On the stovetop, (over medium high heat) warm the tortilla in a skillet for 15 seconds per side or wrap in aluminum foil and heat in the oven at 375 degrees for 5 minutes.

The advantage of wraps is that most can be made ahead and consumed later.  Cover the wrap tightly with plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator up to 12 hours.
