Slice down the middle of the bean to expose the seeds.
With the tip of the knife, scrape beans down the length of the bean.
Use the seeds to flavor fruit, pound cakes etc. The remaining bean can be stored in a glass jar with sugar. This will flavor the sugar and you can use the sugar in any sweet recipe.
