Uses:
(Pronounced TYM)
A basic herb of French cooking, Thyme has always been regarded as a significant herb since the entire plant, and not just the leaves, can be used. Essential to bouquet garni, Melissa’s Thyme imparts a heavy, spicy flavor (similar to cloves) and a lemon-like aroma. Although Thyme is most often used sparingly, it can be found in large quantities throughout Creole and Cajun cooking. Popular used with meat, poultry, game and fish, Melissa’s Thyme is often combined with beans, beets, carrots, mushrooms, cream soups and sauces to produce excellent results.
