Uses
Yellow Tomatoes, generally available year-round, are harvested in both California and Mexico. Field or hydroponically grown, Yellow Tomatoes are perfect for stuffed tomato entrees or simply for making into wedges for salads. Use sliced, chopped, or diced, Yellow Tomatoes also work well in soups, chili, stews, casseroles, seafood salads, chutneys or as a garnish. For a quick snack or light lunch, season broiled, baked or microwaved Yellow Tomatoes with fresh or crushed basil and grated parmesan cheese or top with grated onion and shredded cheese.
Selection, Storage & Handling
Melissa’s Yellow Tomatoes are hand-selected for excellent quality.Choose firm (yielding slightly to palm pressure), well-shaped tomatoes that are heavy for their size and fragrant. Avoid any blemishes. Do not refrigerate. Ripe tomatoes should be used within three days. Freeze only after cooking.
