Our Salsa Kits are simple! You can prepare your own homemade salsa in 10 minutes with this convenient kit. Each clamshell package will make 2 cups of fresh salsa. The ingredients of the kit include: 3 roma tomatoes, 1 shallot, 2 garlic cloves, 1 lime and 1 jalapeno pepper. The end result is a tasty salsa that can easily pair with chips, vegetable sticks, or as a garnish on Latin dishes such as tacos, burritos and quesadillas. Fresh salsa is a great addition to taco salads, too.
Selection, Storage & Handling
Melissa’s Salsa kits contain hand selected produce of excellent quality. Check tomatoes for firmness; they are ripe when soft to the touch. To keep un-prepared kit fresh, refrigerate up to 7 days or keep at room temperature up to 3 days.
Peel garlic cloves and shallot and then chop all ingredients except for limes and jalapeno. Mix in chopped tomatoes with mixture. Squeeze juice from lime and add to the mixture. Finally chop in the amount of jalapeno you want added to the salsa.
