Melissa’s New Red Raven Plums are a black plum variety with a unique red flesh. They are grown along the Kings River in Kingsburg CA which is known for its tree fruits. These plums offer the highest level of nutrition for a plum and have a nutritional level comparable with blueberries in health benefits. A study from Texas A&M University says that red-fleshed plums have higher levels of anthocyanin and phenolic content and antioxidants than light-colored plum varieties. This premium, sweet, juicy and new plum is available through June and July.
