Uses
The pomegranate is thought to be native to Persia, where it was cultivated as early as 4,000 years ago. The pomegranate is a member of the berry family and has a thick, leathery, crimson-to-brown shell containing a pinkish pulp and edible scarlet seeds that are tender, sweet, and tart. Seeds (arils) are eaten fresh as well as used in salads, desserts, sorbets, soups, meat sauces, poultry, juices and sauces. Melissa's Certified Organic Pomegrantes are grown free of artificial or synthetic fertilizers and full of unforgettable, great tasting flavor. Our farmers use traditional earth-friendly farming methods inspected by a nationally recognized agency to verify organic authenticity. Melissa's Organic Produce, a choice made closer to nature.”
