Uses:
Melissa’s Organic Pears, are naturally fresh and juicy without use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides. They are certified organic in accordance with the 2001 National Organic Program Standards (USDA). Melissa's Organic label reads: “Melissa's Certified Organic Produce is free of artificial or synthetic fertilizers and full of unforgettable, great tasting flavor. Our farmers use traditional earth-friendly farming methods inspected by a nationally recognized agency to verify organic authenticity. Melissa's Organic Produce, a choice made closer to nature.” Organic Pears are preferred for reasons of taste, health and the environment.
Selection, Storage & Handling:
Melissa’s Organic Pears are hand-selected for excellent quality. Store at room temperature for up to one week. Pears may be refrigerated to stop ripening process. Organic produce should not be stacked with non-organic produce.
