Uses
Melissa’s Organic Italian Parsley is favored by both professional cooks and home chefs alike. Italian parsley is a slightly peppery, more strongly flavored herb than the more familiar varieties of parsley. These are grown without the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or preservatives. Melissa’s Organic label reads: “Melissa's Certified Organic Produce is free of artificial or synthetic fertilizers and full of unforgettable, great tasting flavor. Our farmers use traditional earth-friendly farming methods inspected by a nationally recognized agency to verify organic authenticity. Melissa's Organic Produce, a choice made closer to nature.” Italian Parsley combines well with a variety of fresh vegetables including beets, cabbage, carrots, onions, tomatoes, and turnips.
Selection, Storage & Handling
Melissa’s Organic Italian Parsley is hand-selected for excellent quality. Look for full bright-green leaves with a fresh scent. Avoid wilting, yellowed or black leaves. Rinse bunches under cold water and shake dry. Wrap in a paper towel and place in a plastic bag, in the refrigerator for up to one week or more. Organic produce should not be stacked with non-organic produce.
