Uses:

Mo Qua is a squash of Chinese origin. A relative of Winter Melon, Mo Qua looks like a zucchini with medium green skin and is covered with fuzzy white hairs. Inside, the light-colored, slightly firm flesh is mildly flavored and can absorb the flavor of any food it is combined with. Peeled, seeded and cubed, Mo Qua is usually stir-fried, braised, boiled or added to soups. Mo Qua is more delicately flavored if cooked and eaten young.

Selection, Storage & Handling:

Mo Qua from Melissa’s is hand-selected for excellent quality. Choose squash that have evenly-textured shells, free of wrinkles. Mo Qua will keep in the refrigerator wrapped in plastic for up to 10 days.

Mo Qua is not unlike other familiar types of squash and can be used in the same way. First peel, then cut according to recipe.
