Uses
A new variety with a stunning, dark black outer skin and brilliant white interior that will add a unique visual accent to any dish, cooked or raw. Resembling a small daikon radish and about 12 to 15 inches long, their flavor is quite pungent while its texture is drier than other radishes. This root’s acidity is excellent when grated then mixed with other vegetables in stir fry. Slice thick to add raw in salads or thin for frying into tasty chips!
Selection, Storage & Handling
Choose firm radishes that are not “wobbly”, which is a sign of age. Black radishes will keep well in the refrigerator if they are placed in a plastic bag to maintain high humidity.
