Melissa’s Holiday Boiler Onions are a combination of white, red and gold boiler onions. Melissa’s Boiler Onions are grown in rich volcanic soils with abundant sunshine; they grow where the days are warm and nights are cool which are ideal conditions to create a delicious sweet flavor. Boiler onions require less cooking, have a refined flavor, and retain more nutrients and health benefits than full-size vegetables. Each onion is about an inch and a half in diameter and imparts a sweet, pungent flavor. Boiler onions can be cooked as a side dish and are perfect for shish kebabs! Boiler onions are also used in salads, casseroles, sauces, roasts, or sautéing. Spice up summer meals by adding Melissa’s Holiday Boiler Onions to skewers with meat and seasonal vegetables for the barbeque.
